Our relationship is a crucible in which we create and occasionally destroy: through perpetual flux and constant re-evaluation we explore the meanings and (im)possibilities of collaboration. We play with the explosive energy that emerges when we’re together: at times an almost mind-reading ending of each others’ sentences, at others a seemingly endless failure to agree.

We work together as artists, initiators and curators. As artists we combine our shared interest in gender, identity, human connection, intimacy and notions of public vs. private. Our work always asks questions about relationship: between the two of us, between us and you, between private selves and public faces.

As initiators and curators our work is rooted in a passionate belief in the artists we enable and the work they create. This leads us to develop a rich array of events and performances, reflecting the diversity of artists in our network. We are particularly drawn to projects in which site-response, participation and encounter draw the audience into new worlds. But we are also open to myriad possibilities we haven’t thought of yet. We are always ready to surprise and be surprised.

Ultimately our relationship reflects the company: a vibrant creative place that is always growing and changing. We run Switch as an arts organisation but we think of it as a love affair – a place where passion and excitement make new things possible.
