1. Nature of the Prize: the winner will receive a one-to-one performance made for their chosen room to be performed a maximum of 6 times on a mutually agreed date in mid-September.

2. Content: the performance content, title and format will be decided in consultation with the winner, after two visits to their home. The exact form of the final performance - durational, installation, interactive etc - will be determined as part of this development process.

3. Restrictions: the artist asks that you choose your room carefully. She will not be bringing any materials on-site and expects the room’s contents to be made available to her. The artist will not destroy or damage furniture or objects unless agreed by the winner.

4. Time Commitment: the winner will grant access to their home on two occasions in September prior to the performance date. The times and dates of these visits will be mutually agreed by the artist and the winner. Site visits are expected to last around 4 hours each.

5. Insurance: Switch Performance has public liability insurance up to £1m, which may cover any injuries to friends or family members at your home during the performance. In the unlikely event of accidental damage to your property or goods during the making of the performance, a claim should be processed under your household insurance.

6. Travel: the artist will travel to your nearest underground or rail station within the stated eligibility area (London, Brighton and the Home Counties). If your home is not within easy walking distance, the artist will need to be collected from and taken back to the station or reimbursed for any taxi fares.

7. Multiple Entries: multiple entries from the same household or resident will be accepted. Each entry must differ by either chosen room or sentence.

8. Press: the artist may invite one or two members of the press to experience the At Home encounter. Depending on the nature of the work this may entail additional performances, which will not be included in the 6 for the winner. By entering you agree to permit members of the press into your home if requested.

9. Documentation: the artist will document the encounter in some way. The style of documentation chosen will be appropriate to the format of the piece and may take the form of video or photography of the encounter, relics from the performance, an interview with or written response by the winner etc.

10 Although the work will be developed in consultation with the winner, the artist’s decision is final.
