The undoubted highlight of the TG Weekend was the ritual suspension performance by Fakir Musafar and Cléo Dubois.

Fakir had a real aura about him, and although the performance was not as technical or as extreme as other suspensions that we've staged, it stood out as an all time classic TG performance because of the genuine emotion and intensity of Fakir and the suspended TJ. It was all in the eyes, and Fakir's fragility made it even more moving.

In a Body Art world sometimes lost and numb in being extreme for the sake of it, it showed that sometimes it's not what you do, but how you do it that matters. Whether you connect with Fakir's spiritual approach or not, they really felt it and meant it, and it was infectious and powerful to experience.
