Core artist Justin Allen has curated a one-year programme of online residencies with The Art of Engagement that started in August.

The Art of Engagement is an open space for international dialogue, exploring the role of art at a time of social and environment crisis. The current residency programme is curated by outstanding British artist Rajni Shah and includes John Jordan, Doran George, Bobby Baker and Rajni herself.

The new programme started in August, with each artist or group "in residence" online for 2 months. The artists participating in this programme are:

Oct and Nov 09 - Clare Adams

Dec 09 and Jan 10 - Ania Bas & Ewelina Kolaczek (collaboration)

Feb and Mar 10 - Yoko Ishiguro

Apr and May 10 - Richard Dedomenici

Jun and July 10 - Citymine(d)

Justin has invited the artists to consider the following questions in relation to their residencies:

What does it mean to be an artist-in-residence online?

What possibilities, limitations and challenges does the virtual world offer?

Can we find new ways to collaborate and connect through the Internet?

What implications do these disembodied connections have for the body?
